Join us for BrainSTARS

BrainSTARS: A Resource for Parents and Professionals working with Children and Adolescents who have Acquired Brain Injury, Jeanne E. Dise-Lewis, Ph.D. and Angela M. Scott, MSW

You are invited to attend, at no charge, a series of BrainSTARS workshops offered by Dr. Dise-Lewis and Angie Scott.

The purposes of the workshop are:

1. To understand and develop solutions to any problems or concerns you have about your child or teen’s development, learning, or behavior;

2. Use your BrainSTARS Manual effectively to look up target symptoms and develop effective intervention plans;

3. Learn about community resources available to you and your child throughout the course of his/her development through adulthood to get him/her back on track developmentally and keep her there.

This workshop will use a team-based, problem-focused learning format and case examples (your own children and their situations). Parents should bring IEPs, neuropsych evaluations, questions from teachers, etc. – Anything to contribute to the discussion of their child’s particular dilemmas. It will be specific and problem-solution focused.

It will be fun and fruitful! Pizza will be provided!
